Some of you have reported that AVG Anti-Virus FREE 2013’s Whole Computer Scan is instantly completed and reports a message of: Total object scanned: 0.
This issue is connected only to the Whole computer scan and anyone who experiences this issue should note that their computer is still protected by other AVG components (Anti-Virus, Identity Protection, Scheduled Scan etc). Users looking to run a scan should set a scheduled scan as a temporary solution until our team has developed a permanent fix.

Windows cannot boot
Some users have reported that their operating system is not booting correctly. We recommend running the AVG Rescue CD scan to remove any infections which may be causing the issue. Should your system be booting repeatedly, we’ve outlined the steps to take in this guide.
Even legitimate software can malfunction and interfere with Windows boot procedures and if this is the case, launching your system in Windows Safe mode should allow it to boot successfully.
Some AVG users have reported booting issues after installing AVG Anti-Virus FREE 2013. This issue is caused by the AVGIDSAgent service. We recommend following this article to temporarily solve this situation.

Allow Battlefield 3 in AVG Firewall
Many of the online features in the popular game Battlefield 3 require additional ports to be opened in the AVG Firewall. Should you be unable to connect to games or are being disconnected during play, please follow FAQ 5276.

AVG Anti-Virus 2012 FREE needs to be updated
AVG Anti-Virus FREE users should take note that as of September 25 we are offering upgrade to AVG Anti-Virus FREE 2013 from previous (AVG 2011 and 2012) versions. This easy upgrade option is available through system tray notification message. Please click the Update now button to start the update process.
