System slowed down?
After installing software that runs in the background such as security software, its not uncommon to experience a little system slowdown on some older machines. We recommend checking hardware requirements before installing any software. The minimum and recommended system requirements for AVG AntiVirus Free 2013 can be found in this forum post.
We would recommend only installing only one security suite at on your system as multiple security software solutions can cause file conflicts. If you would like to install additional software, make sure to install only the on-demand components.
In case you would like AVG technical support agents to investigate a slowdown issue noticed after AVG installation, please do not hesitate contacting AVG customer care experts or describe the situation in AVG Forums.
