It’s that time of the year again. Cold, dark nights are drawing in and the season of summer is drawing to an end. That could only mean one thing. It is time for AVG to release the products that will secure us day in, day out throughout the end of 2012 and well into 2013; the AVG 2013 range.

I was one of the lucky folks who managed to get their hands on an early version of the new AVG 2013 range quite some time ago due to being part of the beta testing team, and I am delighted that you too can now also upgrade and try out the latest version which is full to the brim of new features as well as enhancements.

One main change in the AVG 2013 products is the truly amazing user interface. The interface is what users interact with to change settings and access features of the program, so it is therefore great to see that it has been modernized as well as simplified. Another key feature (and personally my favorite) is the Turbo Scan technology. I was previously amazed at how fast older versions of AVG scanned my PC, taking literally a few minutes for a full system scan to complete. Now I have seen the AVG 2013 products in action, and it makes any other antivirus scanning engine feel so 1990’s!

Finally, I also love the Boot Accelerator component. This feature is self-explanatory, it simply does what it says on the tin and speeds up your computers start-up time. This is truly a revolutionary concept, protection that actually speeds up your computer!
